We only offer one level of transmission the "Max Effort". These are the race proven, fully built transmissions. Billet E Drums, performance steels and frictions all assembled to SSP's precise specifications.

MAX EFFORT HP95 Build Service
All tolerances and specs set to MAX EFFORT standards.

  • Disassemble unit
  • Install revised clutch modules
    • with added steels & frictions

  • Blueprint pump
  • Recalibrate the valve body for high HP application
  • Bench test unit and solenoids to ensure operation
  • Fill the unit with approved ZF fluid

Billet Input Shaft

The billet input shaft is an add on to the Max Effort 8 speed. ($1,700)

We recommend this option for the following: 
  • HP70/75 over 1000 wheel horsepower
  • HP90/95 over 1200 wheel horsepower

The billet input shaft is made with improvements over the OE shaft for oiling and fit. This input shaft is made of billet steel vs OE standard material.

The SSP billet shaft has been tested to 2100 HP so far with zero stress wear.

Billet Mounting Pad Option
As the power increases north of 1000 wheel HP the flexplate does just that, flexes to a point where the mounting flange on the factory converter cracks and breaks apart. This issue is becoming more common as these units age and power increases.

The billet mounting pad was developed to mitigate this issue. The factory mounting plate is removed and the billet pads are TIG welded into place and then the converter is balanced to ensure smooth operation. Existing billet stator converters can be sent in to have the billet pads installed. Please email us for details.
